The Solutions & Service Operations Manager This position leads a team responsible for project management, system installation, and commissioning activities.
Why is this important? The right candidate will manage the revenue and gross margin to targets by controlling job costs and executing projects on time.
Target revenue achievement for this position is at least $7 million annually .
As a Solutions & Service Operations Manager , you will :
- Supervise, train, and mentor the team through goal setting, performance monitoring, employee review meetings, and scheduling of formal training.
- Manage revenue, gross margin, and absorption to achieve monthly and annual business plan projections and forecasts.
- Direct and supervise the development of project plans to monitor and control the progress in the execution of work.
- Ensure schedules are maintained and projects proceed in accordance with the contract documents and customer expectations.
- Plan and justify manpower , staffing requirements, tools, and other appropriate investments for effective and timely execution of work.
- Provide technical and operational support for the sales teams with pricing and scope-of-work definition for project opportunities.
- Maintain relationships between Operations and Sales teams so project details, changes, and plan discrepancies can be managed to minimize cost and delays throughout the estimating, bidding and operations phases of each project.
- Support project productivity and profitability through cost-containment procedures and processes.
- Drive expansion of chargeable opportunities, including T&M, system upgrades, and service contracts, ensure quality assurance activities are completed, such as sales-to-service and projects-to-service turnover including final project walkthroughs, service agreement scope reviews, and final information turnover to inspection team.
- Support contract profitability through cost containment procedures and processes and ensure contract requirements are met and performed to a high standard.
- Develop customer relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction while ensuring effective and timely communications and determine technical labor loading and appropriate balance of talent to ensure proper resource coverage to meet customer needs.

Basic Qualifications :
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years of project management experience within the fire alarm and life safety systems industry
- 10% overnight travel required
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of job financial reporting with ability to apply cost control measures for projects
- Must be able to demonstrate organizational and interpersonal skills
- Exper ience with Microsoft Office
- Ve rbal and written communication skills in English
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 + years of supervisory or management experience
- Experience with large, integrated security systems

The pay range for this position is $98980 - $169680 and the annual incentive target is 1 0 % of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
