About The Position

Job Title : Medical Doctor (MD) Job Specialty : Neurosurgery Job Duration : 19 days Shift : Day - On-Call coverage from December 20 (7am) to December 27 (7am) Guaranteed Hours : 40.

00 hours Experience : Not specified License : Valid license to practice in the applicable state Certifications : - Board certification / eligibility based on education and specialty- Valid DEA in applicable state- BLS or ACLS upon hire in an acute care hospital- BLS or ACLS within 90 days of hire in an ambulatory clinic Must-Have : - Clinical documentation- Outpatient care- EPIC knowledge Job Description : Function independently to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative and patient-centric manner.

• Care may occur in various settings and through different modalities, including direct interaction with patients in the hospital and / or clinic, as well as via telephone, video, or secure email when appropriate.
• Gather patient history, conduct physical exams, review prior records, and ancillary data using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Develop and monitor appropriate treatment plans, and communicate effectively with patients and families when appropriate.
• Provide efficient and compassionate care for patients and their families, utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach through communication, continuity, coordination, and evaluation.
• Educate and counsel patients and families to support care plans, treatment, and discharge.- Collaborate with other healthcare team members, leadership, and medical staff to provide safe patient care.

Communicate pertinent findings and information to the physician and team.- Assist collaborating physicians with patient management in the hospital, consistent with care site policies, regulations, and approved Scope of Practice.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practice metrics. Document according to regulatory and care site guidelines.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization and abide by service behavior standards.- Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.- May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Additional Requirements : Regular attendance during scheduled business hours or shifts is required.- Ability to work nights and / or weekends if needed.
