Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students? We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Paraprofessional fluent in American Sign Language to provide invaluable one-on-one support to two elementary-aged students.

This role offers the opportunity to foster academic and social growth in a dynamic school environment. As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with students, teachers, and support staff to ensure a nurturing and inclusive educational experience for all.

Location : Tualatin, Oregon

Schedule :

Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 7 : 45 am 2 : 15 pm

Responsibilities :

Provide one-on-one support to elementary-aged students, assisting with academic tasks and fostering social-emotional development.

Implement instructional strategies and interventions under the guidance of certified teachers to support student learning and growth.

Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and other school personnel, utilizing American Sign Language fluency.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral support plans.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers as needed.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or higher preferred.

Conversational fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential.

Experience working with students in a school or educational setting preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Patient, compassionate, and flexible demeanor, with a genuine passion for working with children.

Ability to adapt to the individual needs and learning styles of students with diverse abilities.
