Responsibilities :
- Performs EKG and pediatric EKG testing following department policies and procedures
- Identifies patient and assists patient in preparing for testing
- Applies electrodes for EKG testing according to universal standards for lead placement
- Applies electrodes for pediatric EKG testing to include right-sided chest leads and posterior chest leads
- Applies electrodes for Signal Average EKG testing according to policy and procedure
- Answers questions regarding procedure in order to make patient as relaxed as possible
- Prepares EKG machine for daily use
- Checks equipment and supplies, as well as assembles basic EKG equipment
- Removes and cleans equipment at the end of shift

Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Current Basic Life Support Professional Certification required
- 1-3 years of technical experience, required.
