We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Project Manager to join a dynamic and growing team. This position is primarily client-facing and will manage technical projects for our customer base.
This includes but is not limited to managing service and product implementation projects for Our customer base and internal projects, through defining and executing project plans, assignment of appropriate resources, ensuring adherence to project scope, taking actions to ensure deadlines can still be met when project conditions change, and communicating project status to internal management and Clients.
This role will provide leadership throughout the project life cycle to the project team and ensure that team members are effective as a team.
Project Manager is the primary client contact during implementations and is responsible for client satisfaction of same.
- Delivers multiple concurrent projects within budget and agreed timeline, with quality.
- Prepares regular status and financial reporting to the client; executes regular status meetings with the client and project team;
manages day-to-day client relationship.
- Actively participates in all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
- Manages projects to stay within scope and ensures any needed change orders are raised and are discussed well in advance to ensure the customer’s expectations are managed effectively, and that the Helm360 Services Management and Sales are engaged.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of all project management reporting including milestone, project backlog / financial forecast, resource forecast, status and other reports, as requested.
- Communicates and reports on project status to internal and external stakeholders
- Implements best practice approach as defined to creating and executing project plans and ensures project governance is put in place throughout all project phases.
- Create, modify, execute, and improve technical project plans, with project management software
- Modifies personal approach and style to reflect changing circumstance.
- Plans and manages project activity to maximize commercial return for the company, ensuring a focus on minimizing lost and non-billable time.
- Ensures accuracy in relation to recording of all time related to the project, and the accurate and timely billing of this to the customer.
- Manages their own time effectively to maximize utilization and to balance demands from multiple projects.
- Meets individual contributor targets for billable hours, methodology contributions, etc. as set from time to time.
- Assign project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
- Leverage offshore resource pool for repetitive implementation tasks
- Travel when required to manage projects onsite for external customers
- Share knowledge with internal teams
- This position may require additional overtime especially around go-live deadline
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, preferably within the IT or professional services industry / client-facing consultancy experience.
- Possess a project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) to demonstrate formal training and expertise in the field.
- Proven track record of successfully leading projects; experience across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), preferably gained by having undertaken a multitude of project roles over their career.
- Experience in developing and maintaining project management documentation and templates.
- Strong influencing, negotiating, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication both verbal and written, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Strong Leadership skills, with a demonstrable background in resource management, motivating, and coaching.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment and diverse range of projects and activities
- Solid knowledge, understanding, and experience in financial ERP implementations / financial operations (GL, AP, AR, Billing / Invoicing, Operational, and Management Reporting) and Client and Matter management.
- Experience working in the legal technology space is desirable.
- Travel 25%, depending on the stage of the projects under their management.
