About The Position
Job Title : CVOR Tech Job Specialty : Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8 hours (6 a.
m. to 4 : 30 p.m.) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases License : State registration required Certifications : BLS (must be American Heart Association);
CST required Must-Have : - Adult scrub experience is required; pediatric scrub experience is a plus.- Ability to multitask and apply critical thinking skills.
Job Description : Perform scrub duties for complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases, including but not limited to : - Coronary Artery Bypass - Ascending Aortic Aneurysms - Valve Repair and Replacement - Structural Heart Procedures (TAVR, MitraClip) - Thoracic Organ (Heart and Lung) Transplant - ECMO - Ventricular Assist Devices - Redo and emergent cases- Participate in numerous ongoing research protocols.
- Experience and skills in adult scrubbing required.- Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities are essential.
- Participate in professional activities of the department.- Support departmental needs during weekends as required.- Floating within scope as needed.
- On-call duty required approximately 1-2 shifts per week and one weekend per month.- Holiday work may be required, rotating based on departmental need.
