DUTIES AND / OR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
- Maintain regular contact with current and potential customers
- Review plans and specifications prior to bidding, calculate and quote material prices to customers,
complete project submittals
and maintain project files
- Track and document market data relating to product and price
- Perform on-going market analysis
- Entertain customers and resolve customer complaints, questions, and assist in collections
- Develop a good working relationship with fellow team members and establish a sales process with
central dispatch
- This position will require active involvement in trade and community associations
- Be actively involved in production & quality teams
- Assure all safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications : - High School or GED plus higher trade or technical school or equivalent in related field
- 2 years sales experience, construction materials preferred
- Knowledge of local market area for construction materials preferred
- Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have the ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of personality types and accept rejection
- Be a self starter and be able to organize and manage time effectively and handle difficult situations
- Ability to work safely in a busy construction environment
- Willingness to work odd hours and Saturday’s if necessary
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical / functional exam and drug screen
