RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

Work on a 32-bed capacity medical-surgical unit on the 2nd floor (2W Surgical)

Patient ratio of 6-7 patients per nurse with 2-3 nurses depending on census

Day shift staffing includes charge nurse, 3-5 staff nurses (depending on census), 2-3 nurse aides, and unit secretary

Night shift staffing includes charge nurse, 3-5 staff nurses (depending on census), and 2-3 aides

Work with equipment including PCA pumps and IV pumps

Utilize Meditech EMR system

Perform typical procedures including admissions, discharges, transfers, wound care, IV administration, blood administration, specimen collection, and medication administration

Minimum 2 years recent hospital experience required

Medical-surgical experience required

Surgical experience preferred

Bilingual skills preferred but not required

Experience with Meditech preferred

Dress code requires royal blue scrubs with white or royal blue scrub jackets only - no outside jackets permitted
