Job Summary :
We are looking for a compassionate Personal Care Aide (PCA) who can provide support to clients across different locations.
The PCA will assist individuals with daily tasks, offer emotional support, and ensure their well-being. Having reliable personal transportation is necessary for this role to travel between various client locations and provide care.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a PCA or related field preferred
- Previous caregiving experience advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and patience in assisting individuals
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions diligently
- Must have reliable personal transportation and a clean driving record
Responsibilities :
- Oversee personal care tasks like bathing, dressing, and grooming for clients
- Aid in mobility and physical therapy exercises
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and tidying up
- Monitor clients' health and report changes to the supervisor promptly
- Adhere to care plans and maintain a safe, clean environment for clients
- Travel between different locations to provide care and support to clients
Working Conditions :
PCAs may work in clients' residences, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes. They should be prepared to transport themselves between various locations to offer care.
The role may involve lifting or moving clients and performing physical tasks. While emotionally demanding, this position is fulfilling for individuals dedicated to helping others.
