MC : Perioperative Core (Full-Time, Day Shift)-

- The Program Specialist, Perioperative Services, provides operational and financial analysis and managerial accounting services to assist the Perioperative Division in the effective performance of their responsibilities;
- assigns billing codes and descriptions to new inventory items; updates and maintains perioperative billing / inventory in designated software programs;
- collaborates with Patient Billing Office (PBO), Health Information Management (HIM), and Decision Support Services (DSS);
- researches billing issues; performs audits; creates reports; provides financial analyses to assist department billing and posting performance;
- identifies opportunities to increase revenue; serves as informatics systems administrator for the software programs utilized in Perioperative Services;
- updates and maintains the Service Master data for Perioperative Services; utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports excellence in customer service;
promotes a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce. These services may be provided for both LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals.
Performs other duties as needed.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year experience as records analyst or healthcare finance field required.
- Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer proficiently and operate printer and software programs necessary to the position;
