Job Title : Senior MechanicalDesign Engineer (Electronics Packaging)

Job Duration : 12Months contract on W2

Job Location : Elma New York 14059(Hybrid)

Note : US Citizenship orPermanent Resident is required.

Job Description :

• Develop qualify and transition to market bestin class aviation electronics flight hardware
• Design and analyze the structural and thermal performanceof electronic systems.
• Provide technicalleadership to personnel supporting the assigned project
• Participate in proposal development as a mechanicalpackaging expert steering the mechanical design thermal vibrationand other environmental design philosophy in the preferreddirection and advising team members of the risks related to tradestudy choices.
• Develop and / or review designconcepts CAD models ICDs and assembly drawings.
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generatedfor the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent withengineering policies and procedures
• Preparedata items for projects including thermal vibration mechanicaltolerance and others
• Be responsible formeeting cost schedule and technical requirements.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical andprogram reviews.

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineeringfrom an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 yearsof experience in mechanical design and analysis of complexmechanical systems. Electronics systems experience is aplus.
• Ability to access United States ExportControlled information.

Preferred Qualifications include :

• Experience in theAerospace industry
• Proficiency in the use ofNX or other modern solid modelling tools for complex 3D part andassembly modeling
• Proficiency in ANSYS (FiniteElement Analysis (FEA)
• Familiarity with ANSYSICEPAK (CFD / thermal analysis)
• Familiaritywith ANSYS Sherlock
• Capable of performingsteady state and transient thermal analysis using FEA software suchas ANSYS Workbench
• Have an understanding ofshock and random vibration as it relates to electronic boxes andPCBs.
• Experience performing deflection andvibration analysis on printed circuit cards (PCB)
• Knowledgeable in the application and interpretation ofGD&T principles in ASME Y14.5
• Proficiencyin Worst Case RSS and 6Sigma tolerance analysis of mechanicalparts
• Demonstrated proficiency in the creationand composition of engineering drawings according to applicableIndustry standards using modern CAD drafting tools
• Familiarity with basic electrical engineering principlesand the application and use of electrical connectors and otherinterconnect products.
• Experience designingand creating solid 3D models using CAD software (prefer UGUnigraphics experience)
• Experienceinterpreting customer requirements and familiarity with industrystandards
• Have an understanding of tolerancestack up analysis
• Experience with solderfatigue analysis.
