Description

The Senior Security Engineer combines a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles with a focus on secure coding and cloud secure configurations.

This individual will work closely with Verily’s developers, code repositories and cloud environments to secure the CI / CD pipeline and cloud architecture.

Candidates for this role typically possess a strong background in software development, along with in-depth knowledge of secure coding practices, build pipeline configurations, and cloud configuration.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage 3rd Party Cloud Security technologies to monitor and improve cloud infrastructure configuration and policies.
• Deploy and manage secure coding tools and automated testing processes to enhance code security.
• Work on the design and implementation of security measures to protect Verily’s infrastructure, networks, and data.
• Conduct security reviews and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and propose solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

• BA / BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems.
• At least 8+ years experience in cybersecurity, including compliance and risk management with a system and network security engineering background.
• Experience with Cloud Computing (GCP, AWS and / or Azure).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snyk or similar SCA / SAST.
• Experience with Wiz or similar CNAPP / CSPM.
• Terraform to support deployments of security tools.
• Masters degree in an Information Security related field.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $148,000 - $210,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
