Position Overview
The Payor Product Marketing Senior Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for driving the success of Exact Sciences payer-focused initiatives.
This position combines strategic thinking, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration to create impactful go-to-market strategies & collateral that successfully enable our Market Access Sales team.
They will oversee the creation, testing & roll-out of Value Propositions, Messaging, Customer Journey Mapping, Personas, & multiple sales enablement functions.
Reporting to the Director of Payer Marketing, this position will partner closely with the Market Access teams, Organized Customer Marketing, Brand Marketing, and Customer Experience leadership to develop, design and execute.
This role prefers the individual to work in a hybrid capacity at an office location in one of the following cities : Redwood City, CA;
San Diego, CA; Boston, MA; Phoenix, AZ; Madison, WI; or Marshfield, WI.
Essential Duties
Include but are not limited to the following :
- Support the development of a payer marketing strategy that successfully enables the Market Access Team (MAMs) to drive growth in payer partnerships with Exact Sciences.
- Drive the development, creation & refinement of marketing assets, ensuring all customer-facing materials are compliantly vetted in a timely fashion through the internal medical and legal review (MLR) process.
- Support the creation of a compelling Value Proposition & messaging for payer initiatives.
- Participate in market research, insights, and analytics strategy for generating salient insights to inform payer marketing strategy and solution development.
- Support the alignment of campaign resources with the goal of driving utilization of payer solutions within specific segments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Exact Sciences to ensure the launch and analytics of new marketing campaigns are successfully planned & executed.
- Create training materials, guides, and resources for the Market Access team.
- Work closely with training teams to ensure effective rollout and adoption of Payer product strategy & materials.
- Collaborate closely with Market Access colleagues to gain buy-in & align messaging across payer segments.
- Develop detailed customer journey maps to understand touchpoints and pain points.
- Create customer personas to tailor messaging and value propositions effectively.
- Develop & define go-to-market plans for new product / initiative launches and updates.
- Identify & participate in payer-focused conferences & sponsorship opportunities.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and has a track record of cross-functional collaboration.

- Ability to work seated for approximately 50% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 10% of a typical working day (note that office positions can accommodate sitting and standing needs, so this may not be relevant).
- Ability to work in front of a computer screen and / or perform typing for approximately 70% of a typical working day.
- Ability to travel 30% of working time away from work location, may include overnight / weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, marketing or technology related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience within sales, account management, or marketing.
- 4+ years of experience marketing specifically to health insurance payers within the US market.
- Knowledge of payer and vendor evaluation behavior
- Proficient computer skills including Internet navigation, Email usage, word processing & data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, MHA or other master’s degree.
- Knowledge of cancer diagnostics, molecular diagnostics or preventive health markets.
- Relationships with Payers or leaders within those organizations desired.

Salary Range :
$129,000.00 - $208,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location.
In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
