Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Assistant Resident Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a multifamily apartment complex. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Property Manager to ensure a high standard of tenant satisfaction, smooth building operations, and compliance with company policies and housing regulations. This position is F / T plus after-hours for emergencies, as needed.

Compensation

  • Salary range $22.00-$26.00 per hour
  • Assistant Manager Apartment on site
  • $50 per month phone allowance

Hours

  • 40 hours a week, including 4 hours on Saturdays, on call for after-hours emergencies
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Manager in overseeing daily property operations, including leasing, maintenance requests, inspections, and vendor management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
  • Support the leasing process by conducting property showings, gathering information from applicants, and managing move-in / move-out procedures.
  • Assist in rent collection and follow up on past-due accounts.
  • Coordinate, track, and follow up on maintenance requests to ensure timely and high-quality service.
  • Perform daily inspection of the property and report service needs to maintenance staff.
  • Assist with property inspections and ensure compliance with safety, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve and post notices as needed.
  • Answer and manage after-hours emergency calls (e.g., lockouts, urgent maintenance issues) on a rotating schedule with the Property Manager.
  • Provide additional assistance to the Property Manager as needed.
  • Must reside onsite in the unit provided.
  • Qualifications

  • Prior experience in property management, leasing, real estate, or related fields required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Highly organized with excellent time-management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with property management software (AppFolio a plus), Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Knowledge of fair housing laws and landlord / tenant regulations.
