Descriptive Summary
Join our team as a Dental Lab Technician in our CAD / CAM / Digital Department. The purpose of this role is to Calculate, cut out, and sinter the work coming out of the design department.
About Nu-Art Dental Lab :
We are a full-service dental laboratory that fabricates crowns, bridges, removable dentures, dental implants, and other orthodontic appliances for use by our customers’ dental practices.
We have been Wisconsin’s Full-Service Dental Laboratory since 1977, bringing high quality and multidisciplinary solutions to our customer’s complex restorative dental needs.
We take great pride in offering our customers high-precision lab work by utilizing the latest impression scanners, milling machines and materials to deliver the highest standard of restorative dentistry.
Essential Functions
- Calculate and prioritize wax, splints, and dentures production based on earliest deadlines.
- Create between 80-100 units daily using various materials.
- Cut out 80-100 zirconia units per day.
- Utilize multiple computers to maximize productivity.
- Maintain mill cleanliness and ensure proper calibration.
- Balance work distribution among mills to prevent overloading.
- Communicate end-of-shift productivity status to the Supervisor.
- Order necessary materials for the mills.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality standards.
- Ability to meet scheduling requirements.
- Perform other tasks as directed by management.
Minimum Skills and Requirements
- Ability to read and understand basic English instructions.
- Ability to maneuver throughout lab facilities for extended periods of time.
- Ability to navigate handcarts filled with dental cases around lab locations.
Education & Experience
Required
- Basic dental training.
- CAD / CAM Experience.
- Technical ability to calculate, print, and cut-out.
- Ability to read instructions in English.
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees, management, and team members.
- Demonstrated prioritization and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Prior dental experience or background, a plus.
- Previous experience working in positions that require hand and finger dexterity, a plus.
