Job Summary : We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage the flow of fresh produce in our warehouse.

You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, verifying deliveries, and maintaining accurate records to ensure our produce reaches our customers in the best condition.

Key Responsibilities :

• Receive Shipments : Accept and inspect incoming deliveries of fresh produce, checking for quality, quantity, and any signs of damage.
• Document Handling : Maintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries, including logs, invoices, and other necessary paperwork.
• Inventory Management : Update inventory systems to reflect current stock levels, and assist in managing stock rotation to ensure freshness.
• Coordinate Shipments : Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring produce is packaged properly and shipped on time.
• Quality Control : Regularly inspect produce in storage for freshness and quality, reporting any issues to the appropriate departments.
• Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including proper handling and storage of produce.
• Communication : Work closely with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams to coordinate shipments and resolve any logistical issues.
• Equipment Use : Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications :

• Experience : Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in the food or produce industry.
• Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to accurately track shipments and inventory.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to lift and move heavy boxes of produce, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures.
• Communication Skills : Good verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and external partners.
• Technical Skills : Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in logistics or warehouse operations is a plus.
