Assistant/Associate Curator: Hammer Museum, UCLA
The Assistant / Associate Curator conceptualizes, develops, researches, and organizes small-scale exhibitions with a focus on contemporary art / artists and Hammer Projects.
Works closely with the Chief Curator and curatorial team on the development and execution of larger exhibitions and projects.
The position also coordinates incoming traveling exhibitions, supports the development of exhibition-related publications such as brochures and catalogues, and drafts and coordinates exhibition tour proposal materials.
Additionally, participates in the acquisitions process for the Hammer Contemporary Collection and other curatorial department initiatives.
Represents the Museum to the outside community in particular with artists, galleries, and donors, and interacts frequently with visitors, scholars, and students through public programs, including exhibition tours and public talks.
