This unit provides intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for both medical and post-surgical patients having experienced shock, trauma, or other life-threatening conditions.

This unit supports a mix of medical and surgical intensive patients.Adventist Health Sonora has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1900.

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.

Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Job Requirements : Education and Work Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) : PreferredAcute care facility experience : PreferredLicenses / Certifications : Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice : RequiredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification : RequiredDepartment Specific License / Certifications : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Healthstream Advanced Cardiac Life Support (HS-ACLS) or RQIACLS : RequiredPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Healthstream Pediatric Advanced Life Support (HS-PALS) or RQIPALS : RequiredEssential Functions : Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient?

Provides learning opportunities for patients / family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.

Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

CA license in hand (#, expiration)

BLS, ACLS, and PALS

ICU Reference and SCL within a year

RTO upon submission

Must have SSN & DOB
