Field Service Technician (Perimeter Security Systems - Road Warrior)

Are you a motivated individual with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for customer service? Our client, a leading perimeter security provider established in 1991 is seeking dedicated Field Service Technicians to join their team.

With over 4,000 commercial and industrial properties relying on their advanced security systems, you'll play a crucial role in preventing crime and ensuring asset protection.

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician, youll be the Face of Our Client providing expert-level maintenance and repair services for cutting-edge perimeter security systems.

This role requires frequent travel, with an average radius of 300 miles, to ensure our clients' systems are operational 24 / 7 / 365.

Compensation & Travel

  • Hourly Pay : $28 $33, dependent on experience and location
  • Travel : Monday-Friday, with nightly per diem paid

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Queue Management : Monitor and strategically plan your workflow to meet service time quotes.
  • Daily Workload Prioritization : Ensure timely job completion without compromising quality.
  • Maintenance & Upgrades : Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, install technology upgrades, and minor core product add-ons.
  • Customer Communication : Provide status updates to internal and external customers.
  • Team Assistance : Support other technicians as needed.
  • Vehicle Operation : Safely drive company vehicles and comply with traffic laws.
  • Inventory Management : Maintain van inventory and arrange equipment rentals.
  • Reporting : Complete and submit weekly reports accurately and on time.
  • Teamwork : Collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Travel Availability : Willingness to travel Monday-Friday.
  • Valid Drivers License : Clean driving record required.
  • Technical Knowledge : Basic understanding of relays, electrical components, and wiring. Experience with access control systems or fire alarms is a plus.
  • OSHA Certification : Knowledge of OSHA compliance.
  • Attributes : Coachable, innovative, team-oriented, and professional.
  • Physical Ability : Capable of maneuvering heavy objects and climbing ladders up to 30 ft.
  • Background Check : Clean criminal background required due to licensing and certification requirements.
  • Drug-Free Workplace : Compliance with the companys drug-free policy.
