Medical Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Under the direction of the clinic supervisor, this role plays a vital part in supporting patient care by preparing exam rooms, assisting providers, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patient exam rooms and equipment using aseptic and sterile techniques
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain vital signs and brief medical histories
  • Perform clinical procedures including immunizations, injections, venipuncture, and urinalysis
  • Assist providers during patient exams and procedures
  • Greet and register patients, manage referrals and authorizations
  • Schedule appointments and ancillary tests accurately
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls, taking and distributing messages
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant degree and certification (externship required)
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant if not actively certified
  • EPIC experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Work Environment

    This is a first-shift, full-time position in a clinic or hospital setting. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with a one-hour variance in start and end times depending on clinic.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.50 / hr.
