Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer for a position based in Arlington, TX. This position is for a Quality Engineer supporting the PAC-3 Sustainment programs.
This is one labor grade above an associate engineer.
Responsibilities include :
- Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply chain, and Customers to ensure quality standards are implemented and being met throughout the product sustainment process.
- Provide support for root cause and corrective / preventative actions.
- Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.
- Perform data integrity reviews and investigations.
Contribute to Corrective Action Board meetings focusing on improvements and corrections.
Drive closure to nonconformance reports.
Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters.
- Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective / preventive action.
- Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and / or are compliant with requirements.
- Work closely with both Internal and External Customers to ensure adequate acceptance of product.
The position requires previous quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for manufactured and procured products, and auditing.
Individual should be a self-starter, with an attention to detail, who can work autonomously with minimal direction in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

- Experience with Sustainment / Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO)
- Experience with Proposals
- Experience with Program Office / Customer Interaction, preferably DOD
- An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- An understanding of Configuration Management
- Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers (including acceptance of product / testing)
- Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems as well as AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning
- Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment
- Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification
- Familiarity with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment / Property during field, ground, or operational tests
