Our Payroll and HR Technology Manager is responsible for the strategy, implementation, and administration of Payroll, HR Technology, benefits, and compensation programs.

Reporting to our Controller-Finance, this position works in our corporate office in Edina, Minnesota. Eventually, a hybrid option would become available (up to two days per week).

This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, short-term disability, and 401K with company match.

Some additional benefits include paid time off and store discounts. Salary range : $90,000 - $130,000, depending on qualifications.

A successful individual in this position should be willing to :

  • Successfully oversee the execution of bi-weekly payroll activity.
  • Lead a team responsible for the day-to-day activities, processing and administration for payroll and benefits including required compliance testing and filings.
  • Provide effective communication of pay, benefits, and system functionality to promote employee understanding. This role requires close collaboration with Finance, Human Resources, and Operations.
  • Lead the ongoing implementation, optimization, maintenance, and administration for people systems including Workday HCM and UKG Pro Management scheduling and timekeeping systems.
  • Manage compliance, administration and operation of non-union employee benefit plans; lead a team accountable for union benefit plan eligibility and enrollment.
  • Oversee compensation plans and bonus structure. Administer annual compensation review processes, including merit and bonuses.
  • Manage union compensation adjustments, wage progressions and non-union merit increases in compliance with union contracts and applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications :

  • 5-8 years demonstrated Workday proficiency to include UKG scheduling and timekeeping solutions and advanced Excel capability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, finance, or technology-related field.
  • Proven leadership experience including day-to-day supervision.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HRIS design, planning and implementation.
  • Strong working knowledge in the areas of payroll, benefits, human resources, compliance, compensation, and HR technology.
  • Proven experience in design and management of all reward disciplines including benefits programs and compensation, including base, bonus, and variable compensation.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to understand underlying needs and translate them to effective solutions.
  • Ability to operate on a strategic level and support daily execution.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Be a self-guided, quick learner.
