About The Position
Job Title : Pharmacist Job Specialty : Pharmacy Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8H Nights, Every Other Weekend (EOW) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : California Pharmacist license required Certifications : ACLS, BLS Must-Have : - Pharmacy residency and / or BCPS desired - Experience in Oncology infusion centers a plus - Sterile compounding experience desired - No new grads please Job Description : - Responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in a 267-bed inpatient setting with an additional 100 outpatients - Maintain compliance with California law regarding tech to pharmacist ratios of 2 : 1 - Utilize Cerner and Omnicell systems for dispensing medications - Engage in floor-specific orientation to integrate seamlessly into the pharmacy team - Work in various care settings, including NICU, Pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, and oncology - Collaborate with the hospitalist or intensivist in-house, with 24 / 7 access to respiratory therapy and pharmacy services - Provide sterile compounding services and handle common diagnoses for specialized patient groups - Required to work weekends and holidays as part of the shift schedule - Professional white coat attire is mandatory during shifts - The hospital may cancel shifts up to three times per contract, with potential for full hours to be paid in lieu of cancellation *Note : Ensure adherence to all internal policies and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.*
