Job Summary of the Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst will play a key role in the financial reporting and analysis process, supporting the finance team with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams across the organization.
The successful candidate must efficiently collaborate across functions and entities, working closely with the VP of Finance & Accounting, Business Unit VPs, and teams in accounting, engineering, sales, and production.
They should be engaging and leading discussions with business unit vice presidents, offering guidance, and addressing variances.
Duties / Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst
Strategy
- Generate and maintain the Monthly Reporting Calendar, coordinating Closing Cycles with the Corporate Consolidation team and ensuring compliance with internal deadlines.
- Act as the Entity Liaison for corporate communications related to month-end reporting, including calendar reminders, training, and implementation of new processes, templates, and financial models.
- Coordinate quarterly Board of Directors (BOD) deck reporting, collaborating closely with corporate and entity teams.
Forecasting & Modeling
- Generate reporting for the Group's monthly management report.
- Cash Flow gathering and validation processes for the monthly management report.
- Report on Order Backlogs for the different business units, highlighting Top 10 Customers and Top Products for Daily and Monthly Management Review.
- Gather and validate Monthly Recurring Revenue Reporting from various entities, focusing on generating specifically for the management report presentation.
- Analyze Product performance by business units, including the generation of Commercial Excellence metrics.
- Calculate Price Volume Mix and Standard Margin for the companies' Business Units.
- Contribute to 5-year Strategic Planning Presentation and Generate Industry Analytics.
- Prepare Monthly Standard Margin Bridges and Analytics for the companies' different Business Units.
- Provide Ad-Hoc analytical support to the Sales Team, assisting in other Revenue and Standard Margin Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analysis while updating Business Unit Revenue Builds and aligning with manufacturing forecasts.
- Develop and maintain the Budgets by Customer report and provide analytics versus plan.
- Provide Cost and Expense Analytics to all Departments, comparing against Budget, Forecast and Prior Year.
- Other similar duties as assigned by management

Required skills / abilities of the Financial Analyst
- Self-starter with experience and ability to lead variance discussions with internal clients.
- Works well under little supervision, result-oriented.
- Attention to detail.
- Intermediate to Advanced Financial Modeling, Dashboard (KPI) creation and data validation skills
- Multi-business experience.
- Strong persuasion skills in a matrix reporting environment.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office : Excellent Excel Skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, X-lookups, IF statements, Macros, etc.
and Proficient in PowerPoint.
- Intermediate Knowledge of Power BI is a big plus.
- Excellent analytical, abstract reasoning, and problem-solving skills, plus strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent systems skills; experience with large ERP systems and / or consolidation software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure (deadline-conscious)
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required, MBA a plus.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in an FP&A role
