About The Position
Job Title : MedSurgical Float Pool Nurse Job Specialty : Medical Surgical Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a MedSurgical setting License : Must have a valid compact or state license at time of submission Certifications : Current BCLS certification Must-Have : - Proficiency in IV start and telemetry monitoring- Experience with EPIC electronic health records system Job Description : Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a MedSurgical setting.
- Flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed.- Availability for weekdays and some weekends, including holidays.
- Capable of handling patient ratios of 1 : 4-5.- Strong communication and teamwork skills.- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Orientation : 24 hours required. Additional Requirements : - Completion of fingerprints promptly post-contract signing due to compliance.
- Flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions only.- Local travel radius of 60 miles; locals accepted at the same rate.
- Former employees eligible for travel assignments if away for 6 months. - Must come from an ACEN or CCNE accredited educational program.
