Job Description

Sling TV provides an over-the-top (OTT) live TV streaming service on TVs, smartphones, tablets, computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and other streaming devices.

Distributed across a variety of strategic device partners, including Roku, Google, Amazon, Apple, Samsung, LG, Microsoft, Comcast, and Tivo, Sling TV offers two primary domestic streaming services that collectively include more than 100 channels of top content.

Featured programmers include Disney / ESPN, Fox, NBC, AMC, A&E, EPIX, NBA TV, NHL Networks, Pac-12 Networks, Hallmark, ViacomCBS, and more.

We are looking for a Sr. Partner Marketing Media Buyer to join the Sling Partner Marketing team to help drive the success of our strategic marketing relationships with device partners such as Amazon, Samsung, LG, Microsoft, Google, Apple, etc.

The Sr. Partner Marketing Media Buyer is responsible for working with industry leading distribution partners to create partner-specific marketing strategies, purchase and optimize paid media plans, co-promote new product marketing features, and manage Slings on-platform brand presence.

Were looking for a digitally native, strategic thinker who will be tasked with driving new subscriber growth, with the ultimate measure of success being the return on investment of budgeted media spend.

You will also collaborate closely with the Partner Management and Product Management team to promote new product integrations on existing device partner ecosystems.

The Sr. Partner Marketing Media Buyer will :

  • Develop and execute the paid media strategy on streaming device platforms
  • Manage and optimize device-platform budgets and test-and-learn plans across multiple tactics
  • Make the case for ROI-maximizing allocation of monthly and quarterly media funds
  • Work closely with the creative and brand teams to create messaging that effectively communicates Slings unique value proposition to our potential subscribers
  • Work closely with business development partners to provide marketing input on larger, company-wide partnership deals
  • Support the launch of new product features through innovative co-marketing campaigns with partners
  • Build strong relationships with external partners and work with said partners to optimize marketing spend, test into new opportunities, manage co-marketing campaigns, and scale the program
  • Be a thought leader for the Partner Marketing team, regularly sharing platform and industry POVs to support media recommendations
  • Foster environment of shared learning and act as a trusted source of paid and unpaid media performance via performance reporting

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of media planning experience (MBA a plus)
  • Expert on device and / or traditional digital marketing platforms (e.g. Amazon, Roku, Facebook, programmatic ad networks, emerging digital platforms, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in planning, optimization, and test-and-learn plans for device and / or digital marketing campaigns
  • Track record delivering profitable device and / or digital marketing results
  • Experience with budgeting and financial analysis including return on marketing investment (ROMI) and return on ad spend (ROAS) tracking
  • Comfort with Excel and Google Spreadsheets including pivot tables and other analytical functions
  • Experience presenting marketing strategies and results to senior leadership
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional relationship management skills
  • Passion for the constantly-changing streaming TV and digital landscape with finger on the pulse of emerging platforms and trends.
