The Certified Nursing Assistant answers to the Charge Nurse and the Director of Staff Development.
JOB DUTIES :
Ensure thorough communication and adherence to Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.) guidelines. Responsibilities include :
- Reporting to the assigned station and charge nurse daily
- Performing tasks within C.N.A. scope
- Providing resident care efficiently and safely
- Following facility rules and regulations
- Communicating changes in resident condition promptly
- Collaborating with team members
- Maintaining positive interactions with residents and staff
- Continuing education for C.N.A. certification
- Reporting to work as scheduled and giving proper notice for absences
- Maintaining resident rooms at the end of the shift
- Following dress code and attending meetings
- Keeping CPR certification current
- Following instructions for the walk-to-dine program
- Introducing self to residents and explaining procedures
- Monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, charting, and assisting with meals
- Following resident-specific care plans
- Completing any other assigned duties from supervisors.
