Travel Interventional Radiology Technician (Morristown, NJ)

Total weekly compensation : $2,798.00
Job Title : Interventional Radiology Technician
Schedule :
- Shift : 9 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
- On-call and weekend rotations required
- Must be willing to float to endovascular OR suite and offsite locations for IR cases
- Call back required for weekday and weekend on-call assignments, including holiday coverage
- Night call entails a 24-hour on-call requirement
Duties :
- Assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases, scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralists.
- Possess strong knowledge and proficiency with floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines.
- Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills during neuro-interventional cases and complex procedures to assist proceduralists.
- Operate power injection of iodinated contrast media devices during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Communicate effectively using closed-loop communication methods.
- Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load.
- Contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons.
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record and send images to Sectra / PACs system.
- Manage groin post-intervention.
- Provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements :
- BLS certification from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or an accredited program with skill demonstration in basic life support measures.
- Current licensure and certification with ARRT NJ state.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardio-Vascular Technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.
Additional Information :
- The role is similar to a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) but requires radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
