Mission :
This is a System Engineer position supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Air & Missile Defense (AMD) Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems.
Responsibilities :
- Work with both contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), government civilians and system operators.
- Develop system level concepts that provide solutions to problems that involve multiple systems.
- Define external interfaces, outline system behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to support HW and SW engineering teams.
- Tasks include leading reviews and adjudicating comments.
- Concept development will utilize a model-based system engineering (MBSE) approach.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area
- Candidate should have 4 - 10 years of system engineering experience.
- Candidate must have experiance in one or more of the following areas : tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
- Candidate must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US Top Secret security clearance, with possibilities of working at higher classification levels.
Desired Skills and Qualifications :
- 7 years of progressively complex experience.
- Candidate needs to have a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
- System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
- Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF are desired.
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe Agile experience are plus.
