JOB SUMMARY :

Our client, a growing swim and apparel brand, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead their sales strategy and execution across all channels.

This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the luxury fashion industry, specifically within direct-to-consumer models.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the market, a proven track record of driving sales growth, and the ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Sales Strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the brand's vision and goals. This includes identifying growth opportunities in existing and new markets, particularly within the swim, resort, and dress segments.
  • Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.

Ensure the team is equipped to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Market Expansion : Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion, including new product launches, partnerships, and potential retail or pop-up opportunities.
  • Customer Experience : Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and other departments to ensure a seamless and luxurious customer experience across all touchpoints.
  • Data-Driven Decisions : Utilize sales data and analytics to inform decision-making, optimize pricing strategies, and improve sales processes.

Continuously monitor market trends and customer feedback to adjust strategies as needed.

Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including VIP customers, partners, and industry influencers.

Represent the brand at key events and in the media as needed.

P&L Management : Oversee the sales budget and P&L, ensuring that sales initiatives are cost-effective and deliver a strong return on investment.

QUALITICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the luxury fashion industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth in a direct-to-consumer environment.
  • Strong understanding of the luxury market, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Sales, Sales Operations, and Sales Management skills
  • Experience in retail
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the women's swimwear and dresswear industry, with a focus on wholesale distribution channels.
  • Established network of contacts and relationships within the luxury retail sector, including boutique stores, hotels, resorts, and big-box retailers.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and startup mentality, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving growth and innovation.

Work Location : Hybrid in Carlsbad, CA 92011 (one day a week in office)

Pay : $125,000.00 - $150,000 per year + commission
