Job Summary : The Pediatric Home Health LPN is responsible for managing nursing and home health aide functions, supervising client care according to established standards, and fostering positive relationships among nursing staff, home health aides, physicians, and other agencies.
This role projects a competent, caring image to the public.
Responsibilities :
- Assume responsibility for nursing and home health aide functions.
- Supervise and assist with client care, adhering to standards of care.
- Promote positive relationships between nursing staff, home health aides, physicians, and other agencies.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate medical treatment, including CPR.
- Ensure compliance with Accreditation Organizations and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
- Operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, telephone, and calculator.
- Maintain a vehicle for work purposes with required insurance coverage.
- Travel as required.
Qualifications :
Required Experience :
- Two years of pediatric nursing experience.
- One to two years of home care experience preferred.
- Ability to ambulate, position, and transfer clients.
License / Certifications :
- LPN licensee (District of Columbia)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
