Regional Sales Manager

Join a dynamic and growing organization with an established team of sales professionals. The Regional Sales Manager will strategize, lead, and execute the sales plan to achieve maximum market share and sales volume in their designated territories.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, this role ideally resides within the assigned territory (West Coast) or the Chicago area.

Responsibilities :

  • Direct, coordinate, and manage all sales activities within the assigned market segment / territory.
  • Achieve maximum sales volume and market share through accurate forecasting and within profitability thresholds, utilizing CRM tools and customer visits.
  • Collaborate across departments to close sales, resolve issues, and provide ongoing customer support.
  • Analyze sales data to develop effective sales strategies for the territory.
  • Identify new product opportunities and technological trends to enhance competitive advantage and refine marketing strategies for future business growth.
  • Facilitate continual training and development of sales teams, representatives, and distributors on applications, equipment designs, and system solutions.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline, or equivalent work experience; 10+ years of direct work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial sales / marketing, particularly in capital equipment sales.
  • Experience managing independent sales representative organizations is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of various functional areas within a manufacturing organization (manufacturing, engineering, finance, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
