About The Position

Job Title : Medical Dosimetrist Job Specialty : Clinic - Radiation Therapy Job Duration : Shift : Day Shift, 10 hours Guaranteed Hours : 80 hours per two-week pay period Experience : Minimum of three years of recent experience in Medical Dosimetry License : Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board Certifications : American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : - Previous experience with current planning system SBRT / SRS / 3-D capability preferred - Previous experience in CT Simulation preferred Job Description : - Calculate computerized isodose plans for radiation oncology patients - Compute standard dose calculations and determine computerized generation of isodose curves for external beam radiation treatment programs - Calculate treatment machine settings, document calculations, and record treatment data in therapy chart - Demonstrate the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position - Exhibit the ability to operate applicable office equipment - Interface effectively with interdepartmental staff and the public - Maintain confidentiality, think critically, and act independently with minimal supervision - Exercise good judgment, demonstrate effective critical thinking skills - Be flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently - Work effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements and situations - Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance in the job location - Demonstrate clinical radiation oncology skills, including linear accelerator treatments, computerized treatment planning, simulation, ultrasound, and low-dose-rate brachytherapy - Apply independent judgment and work independently or as part of a team, with and without direct supervision - Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, mathematical and computer proficiency, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize assignments - Maintain knowledge of the physical and geometric characteristics of the radiation therapy equipment and radioactive sources commonly used in the field Special Employee Benefits : - Health and Wellness Clinic with Nurse Practitioner for employee and family care - On-site gym - Employee engagement activities - Child care benefits - Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) - Tuition Assistance - Short-term and long-term disability coverage - Medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits - Life insurance - 4% match to the 401(k) plan - Employee Assistance Programs
