ALUMNI RELATIONS MANAGER
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE :
The Alumni Relations Manager serves under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Advancement. The Alumni Relations Manager is responsible for strategic planning, creation, implementation and maintenance of alumni programs that foster strong relationships and goodwill with the alumni of Notre Dame College Prep.
In addition to cultivating support from our alumni network, the Alumni Relations Manager works collaboratively with colleagues to maximize alumni engagement and to build loyalty for both general and financial support of NDCP.
EXPECTATIONS :
- Full-time, 12 months
- Nights and weekends as needed
- Travel when necessary
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Specific accountabilities shall include, but not limited to :
- Knowledge of the mission and philosophy of Notre Dame College Prep and support in incorporating and communicating its vision.
- Collaborating with others in the planning, developing and evaluating of all events or fundraising activities involving alumni such as Reunions, Homecoming, Veteran's mass, Wall of Fame, Alumni Smoker, Alumni / Senior Breakfast, and Hall of Honor to improve their effectiveness with the ND community, its alums, and friends.
- Utilizing strategic goals and objectives in the planning and implementation of comprehensive and diversified activities to keep alumni informed, interested, and actively engaged with NDCP.
- Fostering relationships with and increasing participation of alumni with the high school through volunteer service, attendance at events (regional, educational, reunions, etc), recognition and support of Notre Dame College Prep via financial contributions.
- Directing and overseeing the "Dons on the Road" program locally and nationally when appropriate.
- Traveling as necessary to support program objectives.
- Acting as liaison to the Alumni Association including the development of meeting agendas, preparing leaders and volunteers for their roles, and managing the outcomes of meetings and events.
- Directing and recruiting Notre Dame Alumni Association officers for leadership and support.
- Maintaining all necessary files and reports for each Alumni event.
- Ensuring the alumni database is accurate.
- Preparing monthly publications for alumni.
- Continuing professional development.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- At least one to three years of professional experience and / or relevant experience in another industry or field.
- Proficiency with Google suite and familiarity with Raiser's Edge, similar client relationship management tool or database.
- Conversant with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIN, Instagram, X)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, collaborative, oral and written communication skills.
- Creative and resourceful self-starter with proven ability to initiative and follow through on assignments and projects.
- Experience working in a school is a plus, but not required.
