Tom Wood Group located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is growing and we are looking for a passionate and driven Human Resources Coordinator tojoin our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Plan and coordinate all employee retention programs
- Coordinate and track employee onboarding activities to include processing of all I-9s, background checks, MVR checks, credit checks, and drug screens
- Serve as functional backup to receptionist
- Maintain and update new hire orientation presentation and assist with new hire orientation as needed
- Maintain all employee files and purging schedule
- Maintain and update employee bulletin boards
- Attend required departmental and company-wide meetings
- Support the HR department with various initiatives
- Provide clear and regular communication on a consistent basis
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of entry level human resources experience
- Experience coordinating the employment authorization process
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of general human resources policies and best practices
- Experience with ADP
- Excellent time management skills
- Highly collaborative and team oriented
- Ability to occasionally travel within a 60-mile radius of office to various Tom Wood locations as needed
- MUST have a valid driver’s license with a clean record
