Software Engineer Sr Staff - Engineer Broadband Edge

We are a winning team at Juniper that is making a formidable impact on the industry by defining new benchmarks and grabbing market share.

This team is involved in architecting, designing, and delivering software solutions for Juniper’s Next Generation Broadband Edge offering focused on converged, cloud-based and distributed subscriber services.

If you have prior experience in dealing with complex network software and want to expand your horizons further, we would like to get in touch with you.

You will be an individual contributor and will be working closely with a team of strong and seasoned R&D engineers, product managers and sales engineers.

Expected responsibilities are :

• Own, define roadmap and drive product adoption for multiple components. Drive design and development of these components
• Provide architectural oversight for major projects in the group
• Participate and contribute in standard bodies like BBF, 3GPP, IETF
• Drive product quality

Required / Desired Skills :

• Strong C / C++ programming skill and deep knowledge data structure & algorithm
• Prior experience of architecting complex systems / software
• Extensive working experience with Linux / Unix environment with proficiency in user-space processes, kernel, socket programming, inter-process communication.
• Software development experience on highly available, carrier grade networking equipment (routers and switches)
• Extensive knowledge of cloud computing, orchestration, virtual-machines, containerization, Kubernetes is necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to write specifications and blogs for extremal and internal customers
• Experience using source management tools like subversion, git, gerrit,coverity and industry standard build tools
• Exposure to BBF & 3GPP technologies is an added plus

Minimum Salary : $182,336.00

Maximum Salary : $262,108.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $182,336.00 and $262,108.00 / year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave.

Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
