As Shift Manager, you will assist the General Manager in daily operations. You will be responsible for supervising the operations on a shift-by-shift basis. You will also assist the General Manager in coaching team members to ensure tasks are performed effectively, helping create legendary experiences for guests.
Shift Manager Responsibilities
- Corrects and coaches’ performance during a shift.
- Conducts pre and post shift meetings
- Assists other Managers with interviewing, training, development and retention of Team Members
- Ensures steps of service are properly executed
- Supervises the operation of the restaurant on a shift-by-shift basis
- Completes all Manager tools on time and with integrity
- Ensures proper food and general safety standards are being followed
- Supports execution of all sales building initiatives
- Properly executes loyalty program on all shifts
- Manages labor during a shift
- Other job duties as assigned
- General knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, responsible service, safety and security systems and procedures, computer operations
- Good people management skills, communication and listening skills
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and have a passion for teaching others
- Must be able to read and comprehend written materials, write in grammatically correct sentences, and perform basic to intermediate mathematical computations
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Perform other related duties as required
