A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience, preferably in high exposure, catastrophic, personal injury cases, including products liability and general negligence.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for :
- Taking and defending expert and witness depositions.
- Drafting original motions and other litigation-related documents on complex matters.
- Drafting discovery requests and responses to be exchanged with various parties.
- Developing client relationships through oral and written communication.
- Preparing for trial including motions in limine, exhibit lists, and witness lists.
- Collaborating with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and execution.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
- 2+ years of experience, preferably in high exposure, catastrophic, personal injury cases, including products liability and general negligence.
- Experience in a billable work environment.
- Self-motivated individual with high energy willing to meet deadlines and complete responsibilities.
- Superior written and oral communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top law school.
Certifications :
Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
Skills :
- Strong litigation skills with experience in taking and defending depositions.
- Proficient in drafting motions and other litigation-related documents.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
