NOTE THIS IS A 12-Week Temporary position.

Experience in Women's Health preferred but not required

As a Women's Health Medical Assistant* you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical clinic.

You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities : Interview patients and document basic medical historyTake vitals and document findings in the patient chartReview annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patientsOrganize, authorize and schedule appointments for referralsEnter laboratory servicesSend prescriptions electronically or by fax.

Verbally call in prescriptionsAdminister injections, perform urinalysis and other lab test, EKGAssist during medical examinationsTriage patient calls, assess the problem, consult with the physicianProduce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and formsPrepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instrumentsSkills

Experience we require :

Bilingual in Spanish Preferred

Job Stability / Longevity2 Years+ of proven working experience as a Women's Health Medical Assistant

Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Social perceptiveness and service orientedPunctual and self disciplined

NATIONAL* Medical Assistant Certification is preferred (CMA or RMA) preferred but not required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be bilingual / Spanish.

Strong organizational and planning skills

Proficiency in MS Office and EMR experience (eclinical works, EPIC, etc.)

Degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited college.

Salary Based on Experience

Job Type : Full-timeSalary : $18.50 - $25.20 per hour depending on experience
