Responsibilities Work in a 12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within a hospital environment Patient population includes critically ill or injured infants, children, and teens Night shifts, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week Every other weekend and holiday rotation may be required No on-call responsibilities Must float to NICU as needed, caring for stable 'feeders and growers' in NICU Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience is required Recent, modern PICU setting with all private rooms and advanced technology Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted Duties include collaborating within an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered ICU care Travelers may be required to work two of three winter holidays : Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving Only one day off can be requested between 11 / 26 / 25–11 / 30 / 25 and 12 / 23 / 25–1 / 2 / 26 Orientation includes 16 hours of onboarding Traveler RNs will not be assigned the most critical NICU cases when floating Family-centered care is emphasized, with facilities for family presence and support Requirements Active RN license in Iowa or valid compact RN license BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications are required Minimum of two years of recent PICU experience Critical care experience strongly encouraged Epic EMR experience required Must be willing to float to NICU and provide care for stable neonatal patients Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614607.
