Job Summary : The Machinist 4, performs all standard machining repairs on heavy equipment or components in a shop environment. Demonstrates a willingness to help in other areas when needed.

Essential Functions :

• Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
• Demonstrates well developed technical skills and performs most standard to complex welding machine jobs and repairs
• Performs all types of welding and line boring operations to manufacture, modify, and repair machine parts, equipment, and components
• Lays out tasks, reads and interprets blueprints and technical publications, designs and draws working sketches
• Works as a member of a team to provide basic mechanical services that satisfies customer needs and achieves departmental goals
• Performs routine operational checks on repair work and functional parts of mechanical equipment and machinery
• Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs
• Maintains all company equipment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order
• Act as a team leader on large projects
• Provides significant task and behavior-oriented supervision to other welders
• Provides assistance, coaching, and mentoring to other welders
• Prepares service reports and any other necessary paperwork
• Examines workpieces for defects to ensure conformance with specifications
• Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
• Actively participates in observations and safety meetings and encourages others to do the same
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Performs other duties as assigned
