Our client, a prestigious cancer center and research facility on the upper east side is seeking a long term temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist for a HYBRid role.

Monday- Friday 9a-5p-37.5 hours weekly, Salary-$40.00 per hour.

Duties : Job Summary :

  • Provide recruiting services including sourcing, screening and interviewing.
  • Responsible for building strong client partnerships in an ever changing talent market.
  • Act as a Steward for the organization's mission, vision, and values by implementing attraction strategies that support the organization's goals.
  • Develop a capacity for and understanding of recruiting data.
  • Driven to provide an excellent candidate experience with a strong focus on internal mobility and ED&I goals.

Recruitment Delivery :

  • Conducts applicant review and screen to effectively determine candidate suitability / eligibility for job openings based on selection criteria determined during the strategy meeting.
  • Recommends a screened, diverse slate of applicants to the hiring team for interviews to ensure excellence through inclusion.
  • Implements recruiting best practice as defined in client and candidate SLA.
  • Ensures all KPI's are met.
  • Uses compensation matrix to determine salary offers or partners with compensation through training and / or individual requests for salary recommendations.
  • Extend offers to candidates.
  • Builds a strong client partnership.
  • Executes entry level wage / hourly, coop / intern, or other higher volume professional recruitment roles.
  • Participates in assigned internal and external recruitment events (e.g., career fairs, on-campus fairs, interview days and open house events); shares information, screens potential applicants, and recommends attendees to Clients for interviews.
  • Actively seeks out information that pertains to hiring and hiring patterns in client groups served.
  • Critically evaluates recruitment channels based on their usefulness for recruiting specific types of jobs.
  • Develops networks, pipelines, of potential recruits using external groups (including college outreach) and social media.
  • Provide a clear and timely communication with all candidates ensuring a positive candidate experience with MSK, regardless of the outcome of their application.
  • Commitment to provide an interview experience that is inclusive and based on respect, transparency, and communication.
  • Create an environment that embraces diverse perspectives and values each for their unique contribution.
  • Advises hiring managers on hiring with empathy, mitigating bias and modeling inclusive and equitable behaviors throughout the TA life cycle.
  • Holds themselves and others accountable in ensuring the mission, vision and values of the organization are upheld through the recruitment process and in the delivery of talent attraction and mobility.
  • Business Acumen :

  • The talent market is ever changing, to be successful in partnering with your hiring managers you need to be immersed in your client groups market activity.
  • Basic knowledge of the business environment in which the organization operates, including an awareness of competitors and relevant trends.
  • Understand the importance of data sources and talent analytics.
  • Keep data clean in various HR systems.
  • Extract recruiting data from various HR systems for assigned client groups.
  • Use data insight gathered to advise stakeholders and business partners.
  • Value and support transparency, knowing that open, honest communication is critical to success.
  • Strategic Partnerships :

  • Practice a client centric approach.
  • Focus on building client partnerships with your relevant service areas.
  • Find creative solutions to problems with the help of your manager.
  • Build relationships and work collaboratively across all parts of the institution, leverage your respective expertise to drive collective success.
  • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Knowledge of Employment and EEO laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Analytical Skills and the ability to work in a high pressured environment.
  • User knowledge of HRIS system.
  • User knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Required Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Preferred Education :
