Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Nurse at Highland Hospice Care in and arounf the Greater Houston, TX areas.
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients, assessing and monitoring their condition, administering medications, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and documenting patient care.
The Registered Nurse will also be actively involved in educating patients and their families about the hospice care process.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in end-of-life care or hospice care is preferred
- Knowledge of pain management and symptom control
- Ability to provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Proficient in electronic medical record documentation
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families
