Position : Medical Scheduler / Receptionist
APOLLO PAIN MANAGEMENT is a growing health care organization with offices in the Sun City Center and Lakewood Ranch. Our focus is on providing patients with advanced, interventional therapies for the improvement of their pain conditions.
We are seeking a Medical Scheduler / Receptionist who is a reliable, energetic team-player with exceptional customer service skills, capable of providing an outstanding patient experience.

Job Duties :
- Greet patients in a pleasant and professional manner
- Check in / out patients, collect copays and coinsurance as directed
- Collections of previous outstanding balances when directed
- Process new patient referrals
- Schedule patient office appointments and procedures
- Schedule procedures at ASC and hospitals
- Answer incoming telephone calls and make outbound telephone calls as necessary
- Check phone, fax and email messages and respond accordingly
- Possess a thorough understanding of insurance and perform verification of patient’s insurance eligibility
- Obtain insurance authorization for office visits
- Request referrals from primary care physicians and other duties as necessary
- Perform all End of Day operations as they pertain to front office
- All administrative duties (copy, fax, scan, etc)
- Ensure patient waiting area, exam rooms and restrooms are maintained
- Chart and enter data into patient’s electronic record (eClinicalWorks)
- Scan and index documents accurately to patient’s electronic medical records
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA requirements
- Work primarily in Sun City Center office location, and 1-2 days / week in Bradenton office
Qualifications :
- Experience in a medical office setting, primarily front office and scheduling, and the ability to manage a high volume of incoming calls while multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, vendors, physicians, coworkers, and regulatory agencies.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is imperative
- Experience in eClinicalWorks (eCW), willing to further train suitable candidate
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Basic math and spelling skills
