We are looking for a versatile Technology Consulting Practice Lead who can lead, sell, design, and implement modern architecture for a diverse set of customers and industries.

The ideal candidate would have deep experience in designing high-value application solutions utilizing popular frameworks and technologies running on Azure primarily, but also familiar with other traditional and cloud platforms.

This position will be responsible for managing the Application Innovation practice area, including career management of the team, interviewing, onboarding, and managing contract resources, offer and accelerator development and management, leading customer conversations, creating and presenting project architecture, planning, estimating, and proposing work for clients, and overseeing the technical solution delivery on client projects.

The role will also be responsible for managing our portfolio of application innovation offers with targeted collaboration with CFOs and other finance leaders to create value oriented initiatives and solutions.

This position will directly own value generation, value monitoring & ROI reporting for our customers. Primary responsibilities include mentoring and leading other application developers and architects, leading pre-sales workshops with business and technology executives to uncover innovative ways to apply application modernization techniques to solve business problems in new ways.

The role can be hands-on when necessary but should have the direct delivery experience to recommend technologies, solutions, and help troubleshoot.

Responsibilities : People Management

People Management

Manage the Application Innovation practice team and monitor billings and utilization.

Provide career development guidance and mentoring.

Develop and deliver annual reviews and manage training plans.

Train the application innovation team on best practices and new technology initiatives.

Interviewing, onboarding, and managing contract resources for client delivery.

Practice Management

Develop a strategy for growth based on practice capabilities and market offerings.

Drive growth through practice and team skills development.

Anticipate the impact of new technologies and frameworks and help create compelling application innovation offerings to our clients.

Help created go-to-market offers around application development, integration, operation, maintenance, and scale in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Support sales by delivering proposals and demos and developing statements of work and project estimates.

Delivery Management

Provide thoughtful leadership for unique client architectures- at times being a decision maker or tie-breaker as required.

Oversee project delivery through release cycles corresponding to fast-paced sprints.

Ensures teams are getting proper training and using best methods for deliver expertise.

Monitor business impact and value generation of application modernization projects for our clients.

Conduct hack-a-thons, cloud assessments, and app assessments to help customers with the discovery phase.

Assist in planning and staffing for application projects.

Provide support for project managers through developing tasks, estimates, and dependencies to meet expectations.

Use deep understanding of modern application landscape to guide team and customers alike.

Partner Management

Develop professional and candid business relationships with Partner (Microsoft, Amazon, Google) team members to deliver solutions for our mutual clients.

Maintain specialization with our Partners, including periodic audits.

Manage and participate in Partner co-marketing and co-sales activities

Skills you bring with you :

  • Ability to estimate work effort, write SOWs, monitor sales pipelines, and close deals.
  • Deep experience in cloud computing, including hands on application architecture and development in :
  • Microservices based solution architecture
  • NET and Web Services
  • DevOps processes (CI / CD)
  • Experience in development with the following skills : C# / .NET (10+ years), Web Services (10+ years), React.js / JavaScript / Typescript (3 years), WCF / REST Services, TSQL, and NoSQL.
  • Experience with the following would be a plus : Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Python, DML / DDL, triggers, query tuning, SSIS : script tasks, checkpoints, recordset objects, and data modeling.
  • Ability to manage full time and contract resources in client delivery and practice management.
  • Ability to articulate concepts to people with a varying technical background.
  • Ability to manage estimates, tasks, escalations, risks / issues.
  • Ability to clearly articulate concepts to people with varying technical background.
  • Ability to design high-level, enterprise grade solution architecture
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate the value of application modernization and its impact on corporate financials.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in software engineering leadership as a Senior / Principal Architect, Manager, or Team Lead at a technology consulting firm (preferred) or in business operations.
  • 8+ years experience with advanced computer science and application development techniques, frameworks, libraries, and technologies, with at least 3 years in a people management role.
  • 4+ years’ experience leading development of cloud solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure.

Travel required :

Travel is typically not required, but may be as much as 25% a month.

The base salary range for this full-time position in the US is annually + bonuses + benefits. Redapt salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
