Description : Inside Sales Representative - The Tessman Company

The Tessman Company has been serving Lawn Care Companies, Snow Removal Professionals, Landscapers, Golf Courses, Athletic Field Managers, Greenhouses and Nurseries since 1950. We have warehouses in St. Paul, MN, Sioux Falls, SD and Fargo, ND. Tessman offers a wide variety of fertilizers, chemicals, grass seed, golf course supplies, greenhouse soils and plastics, landscape supplies and ice melters.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Answer phones and help customers place orders
  • Support our sales team - become a true partner with them
  • Help customers find the right products for their need
  • Pitch in with packing orders in the warehouse when needed
  • Be a go-to product expert — customers will rely on your knowledge
  • Coordinate shipping and freight logistics
  • Jump in to help solve customer issues quickly and professionally
  • Keep track of customer interactions and follow-ups
  • Assist with pricing updates and supplier relations
  • Help create a great team vibe focused on collaboration and improvement

Requirements : What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–3 years of experience in the lawn care, turf, or landscaping industry
  • 1+ year of customer service experience
  • Comfortable working directly with customers — in person or over the phone
  • Bonus points if you have sales experience, turf management, or horticultural experience and education
