We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Project Manager (IT) : III (Senior) in Columbus, Ohio. The role's primary function is to manage multiple projects with interdependencies in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with IT Application teams as well as Business functional teams, with the main responsibilities involving project management, communication, leadership, and resolving any arising issues.

Responsibilities include :

• Identifying project deliverables, developing project scope, managing resources, and activities to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Identifying project risks and setting timelines to meet customer expectations.
• Building strong relationships with business and technology leaders.
• Collecting and reporting value metrics to enable leaders to make decisions in order to maximize returns across enterprise projects and programs.
• Presenting team recommendations to senior management, demonstrating influence over governance bodies, and communicating effectively via formal presentations.
• Effectively managing and leading the successful delivery of the projects and requests from within various phases of delivery across the entire lifecycle of delivery within the project timeline and budget.
• Scheduling recurring internal and client-facing meetings as needed during project implementation to review and monitor project goals and status.
• Leading issue identification, tracking, escalation, and resolution documentation. Monitors risk events before becoming issues and potential roadblocks.
• Managing a portfolio of projects that will align to waterfall, agile, or hybrid methodologies.
• Ability to quickly learn and use new complex technical concepts and resolve issues with them in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to discuss complex technical concepts to the technical staff, stakeholders, and business executives in a simple straightforward manner.
• Demonstrated experience in IT project management, particularly at a senior level
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other operations management software
• Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum and other project management methodologies
• Ability to manage budgets and understand budget processes
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Proven management and leadership skills, with the ability to direct a team
• Ability to create and manage documentation, timelines, and deliverables
• Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and resolve issues
• Experience in quality review and metric reporting
• Familiarity with change management processes
• Proven ability to deliver presentations and communicate project progress to stakeholders
• Knowledge of governance processes within an IT setting
• Experience in workstation support and about time systems
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast-paced environment.
