Job Title : Patient Access Representative
Location : Hybrid (Must Reside in Houston, TX)
Pay Rate : $16 / hour
Schedule : Monday – Friday | 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Overview
Dean’s Professional Services is actively seeking a Patient Access Representative . This position is responsible for researching patient account history and ensuring accurate billing of patients’ third-party insurance carriers within required timeframes. The role includes preparing billing for Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Champus, HMO, PPO, POS, Workers' Compensation, and Special Contracts. The representative will also review accounts for errors, adjustments, and credits, issuing corrections when necessary.
Responsibilities
Research patient account history to ensure accurate billing.
Prepare and process third-party billing for Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Champus, HMO, PPO, POS, Workers' Compensation, and Special Contracts.
Review and reconcile accounts for errors, adjustments, and credits.
Issue corrected entries and ensure timely claim submission and follow-up.
Qualifications
Education :
High School Diploma or GED required
Must Have :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in :
Patient billing
Insurance verification and claim follow-up
EPIC experience preferred
