Position Summary :

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who performs patient assessment, develops, implements and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses.

Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations.

Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate.

Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients' / caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.

Major Position Responsibilities :

The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner.

Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.

Professional caregiver who performs patient assessment

Qualifications :

Qualifications RN / Transitional Experience : One (1) year of Registered Nurse experience, preferred.

One (1) year of ICU experience, preferred.

Licenses :

Current California RN License, required.

Certifications :

Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.

ACLS within 90 days or by end of orientation, whichever comes first, required; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.

NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire, required.

Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.

Salary / Hourly Wage range based on experience.

To protect the health of patients and staff, and to comply with the new State of California mandates, all job offers are contingent on the successful engagement in the TCMC COVID-19 vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception / deferral.)
