Job Description

What makes this role important at Ipsos?

The VP, Mergers & Acquisitions will manage various aspects of the M&A process, working closely with business team members in the U.

S. as well as our Global Team in Paris. The specific responsibilities may include researching and sourcing potential merger and acquisition targets, financial analysis, managing due diligence and deal execution, preparing presentations and reports, and supporting deal negotiations.

The role also requires coordinating with different teams (i.e., various business divisions), such as legal, finance, HR, IT and operations, to ensure smooth integration post-merger or acquisition.

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are important for this position.

What you can expect to be doing :

  • Manage all aspects of a transaction, from sourcing opportunities to executing transactions.
  • Lead M&A transactions and strategic advisory engagements as needed
  • Responsible for financial modeling, creation of presentations, research, due diligence and other tasks as necessary
  • Build, update and maintain detailed financial models
  • Conduct market and economic research
  • Draft investment memos, presentations, and recommendations throughout the deal process
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables for internal and external end-users
  • Track M&A activity, keeping an up-to-date view of progress with each candidate and project-managing to ensure steady progress of evaluation
  • Work with firm leadership to support and lead various aspects of client engagements, business development, marketing activities, and day-to-day operations

This might be the job for you if you have :

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-7 years' experience within corporate development, investment banking, transaction advisory and / or consulting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office applications
  • Superior analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, presentation and research abilities
  • Ability to work well in teams, but also independently

In accordance with NY / CO / CA / WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $190,000 to $270,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and / or certifications.
